I. Biological and Health Sciences
II. Exact Sciences, Engineering, and Technology
III. Applied Human and Social Sciences
IV. Agricultural and Environmental Sciences

It is characterized as a democratic space for disseminating knowledge, as it is accessible to all academics, whether they are beginners or experienced in scientific production. Thus, the JOURNAL ENSAIOS PIONEIROS inspires and welcomes not only professors and undergraduate or graduate students but also active professionals, encouraging everyone to publish independently or in co-authorship.
The journal's mission is to disseminate knowledge through original scientific articles to broaden discussions and debates on relevant topics both for the scientific community and society.
PEER EVALUATION and CALL FOR ARTICLES. Published articles are submitted to peer review, editorial team members, evaluators or ad hoc consultants.

Articles submitted to REVISTA ENSAIOS PIONEIROS are forwarded to two evaluators, preferably those close to the focus of the research. The following cases may occur in this evaluation:
1. The two evaluators approve the text: the text is approved for publication, the authors are notified and the text goes to the final revision.
2. The text is rejected by the two evaluators: the text is archived, the authors are notified.
3. There are suggestions for changes in the text by one or both evaluators: the text is forwarded to the authors for the requested revisions; when returned, the text undergoes an evaluation by the editors, in order to check the changes made. If approved, it is forwarded for final review.
4. The text is not approved, but it is suggested that it be forwarded to a new round of evaluation. The authors are notified and the journal makes itself available to receive a new version of the text.
